Leeds United fans on Twitter were wowed by Phil Foden’s display for Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The rising star scored a 90th-minute winner for his side as they recorded a 2-1 first-leg win against Dortmund in the Champions League.
With that winning goal, the 20-year-old becomes the third-youngest Englishman to score in the quarter-finals of the Champions League – behind Theo Walcott and one-time Leeds star, Alan Smith.
Remember him? Yup, he’s now on-loan at Southampton from Everton! :).
After his heroics, yesterday, Foden and his unstoppable Man City side will now lock horns with Leeds at the weekend.
And some Leeds fans are hoping that he doesn’t feature and is rested given the damage he can cause in the final third.
The Elland Road faithful might just get their wish because Pep Guardiola has done nothing but rotate this season.
Three or four players are always being swapped around and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s the same on Saturday, in fact, it would be a shock if it isn’t!
But then again, it might only mean a certain Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero coming into the starting XI. Nothing major.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to Foden’s performance yesterday:
