Newcastle United fans have admitted that even they don’t think Valentino Lazaro should sign for them.
The Chronicle have reported that the Newcastle loanee is having second thoughts about moving to Tyneside on a permanent basis.
Lazaro has only featured infrequently for the Magpies in recent weeks, with Steve Bruce favouring other options.
And Newcastle supporters say that they can’t even blame Lazaro for not wanting to join them on a long-term basis at this point.
Lazaro has actually shown flashes of quality when he has been given a chance at Newcastle, but he has struggled for a run of starts.
Lazaro has featured in 12 Premier League matches since joining Newcastle in January, but he has been subbed on in nine of those outings.
If Newcastle were to sign Lazaro on a permanent basis, the Shields Gazette report that he would cost £20 million to buy from Inter Milan.
