Arsenal defender Rob Holding didn’t hold back as he blasted UFC President Dana White for calling football ‘the least talented’ sport in the world.

The UFC spearhead clearly isn’t a fan of football – the biggest game in the world – and he has made his feelings pretty clear, that’s for sure.

The 53-year-old stated that he ‘can’t stand soccer and he feels ‘there’s a reason three-year-olds can play soccer’, as posted by SPORTbible.

Whilst Dana White himself has never got into the Octagon, it does seem as though he has taken a few too many blows to the head given his comments.

But once the Connecticut-born multi-millionaire shared his thoughts on ‘soccer’, or football as it’s known by the wider world, a certain Arsenal defender didn’t hold back.

In the comments section of SPORTbible’s IG post, this is what Holding posted.

“Least talented sport 🤦‍♂️,” said Holding. “You think of how long other sports, involving a ball, are in control/contact with the ball.

“In Baseball, a pitcher holds the ball with their hand and controls which type of spin and speed they use as they throw, same with a QB (in NFL) and a basketballer when they pass or shoot.

“A footballer has less than a second of contact with a ball to make it go a certain way, and oh yeah, that’s with their foot.”

DANA WHITE’S COMMENTS

The American is in charge of one of the most gruelling, hard-hitting and perhaps physically and mentally-draining sports in the world.

So, from that perspective, nobody can hit back at the state or talent levels of UFC, Mixed Martial Arts or any combat sport, for that matter.

But billions of people across the world play football, yet a very small percentage play at the highest level, and there is a reason for that.

If football didn’t require so much talent, which in turn supplies the nail-biting and heart-stopping entertainment, then it wouldn’t draw such audiences on a weekly basis.
