Kai Havertz has been really disappointing for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal since his move from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

And Arsenal fan and TV personality Piers Morgan has brutally mocked him on X.

Piers Morgan mocks Arsenal forward Kai Havertz

As you can see below, Morgan has used a James Bond reference to say that Kai Havertz has not been lethal at all.

The 24-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, has made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played once in the UEFA Champions League.

The Germany international has not scored a goal or provided an assist in those games.

Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from six matches.

Mikel Arteta’s side are four points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.

Arsenal have also made a winning start to their UEFA Champions League campaign.

Arsenal fans should have faith in Kai Havertz

In our view, Arsenal fans should trust manager Mikel Arteta to get the best out of Kai Havertz.

Yes, Havertz is struggling at the moment.

And yes, the Germany international did not have a particularly great spell at Chelsea even though he did win the UEFA Champions League with the Blues in 2020-21.

But, if Arteta signed Havertz for Arsenal, then it must be for a reason.

If Arteta thinks that he could help the £280,000-a-week (Spotrac) forward fulfil his potential, then Arsenal fans should have faith in his judgement.

After all, we have seen how Arteta has transformed Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard was struggling to get into the Real Madrid first team, but now the Norway international is one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe and is flourishing.
