Aston Villa host Leeds United at Villa Park on Thursday less than a month after their previous meeting in the Championship.
Leandro Bacuna has suggested that Aston Villa were so disappointed following their defeat to Leeds United at the start of the month as they felt that they had thrown a good opportunity for victory away, the Birmingham Mail reports.
The Villans travelled to Elland Road looking to protect their unbeaten run since Steve Bruce’s appointment as manager. And with the game approaching its final 20 minutes still goalless, it appeared that their run was set to continue.

However, Leeds then scored twice to secure the three points. And ahead of the return fixture, Bacuna has suggested that Villa are looking to make amends for the previous meeting.
“The game at Leeds was disappointing for us because we let it slip away,” he said, as reported by the Mail.
“We have a good chance to make it right when they come to our place on Thursday.”
“When we’re at home we feel confident. The crowd are behind us trying to push us on. It’s good that we got the support.”

It is fair to say that there was little between the two teams last time despite the scoreline perhaps suggesting otherwise. Before Kemar Roofe’s opener, it was arguably the Midlands side who looked the more threatening.
And Bruce will be reminding his players that if they do not take their chances when they come their way, they may well be looking at another defeat.
Garry Monk’s Leeds side have won four of their last five and have kept three clean sheets along the way, so Villa failing to make the most of whatever openings come their way could come back to haunt them once again.
