Leander Dendoncker’s agent expects talks over his Wolves future

Leander Dendoncker has taken some time to get going at Wolverhampton Wanderers, and has been linked with a move away.

Leander Dendoncker’s agent has told Laroma24 that he expects talks to be held with Wolves over his future, and admitted that the midfielder could end up leaving Molineux this month.

Dendoncker has taken some time to get going at Wolves after arriving in the summer. He has only made two Premier League appearances this term.

His only start in the top flight came in the 3-1 win away at Tottenham last month. But he was taken off before Nuno Espirito Santo’s men scored the three goals that left Spurs stunned.

The Belgian did keep his place for the FA Cup win over Liverpool this week. But his agent and brother, Andres conceded that leaving the club during this window is a possibility, before he was then asked whether there had been any contact with Roma sporting director Monchi.

“We are in the window, there is nothing decided,” he told Laroma24. “We have to understand a few things. On Monday, Leander played the whole match [against Liverpool] and it went well.

“Now we should see how things are with Wolves and then we will decide by mutual agreement.”

“Monchi? For now, no contact. Go on loan? It’s a solution if the club wants it,” he went on to add.

Nuno is not working with the largest squad, so it would be a surprise if he was happy about the idea of letting Dendoncker leave, especially if he headed out on loan.

He is starting to make an impact in the first-team, so he will have his eye on holding down a spot in the side during the coming months and perhaps proving that Wolves unquestionably made the right decision to bring him in during the summer.
