League One sides eye former Swansea starlet Henry Jones

HITC Sport understands a number of clubs are tracking former Swansea youngster.

A number of League One clubs are keeping tabs on Bangor City’s former Swansea City midfielder Henry Jones, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Jones joined Welsh Premier League side Bangor City in the summer after his contract expired at Swansea at the end of last season.

The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Swansea after joining the club from the age of eight, but he failed to make a first-team appearance at the Liberty Stadium.

Jones was a regular in Swansea’s under-18 and under-21 sides during his time at the club and has represented Wales at various youth levels.

The skilful midfielder joined Bangor in a bid to kick-start his career by playing regular first-team football and he has flourished for the Welsh Premier League outfit.

Jones has scored three goals in 12 appearances for Bangor City and his displays have seen him pick of several man of the match awards so far this season.

Jones’ performances have alerted a number of sides higher up the football pyramid and several League One sides are ready to move for the midfielder when the transfer window reopens in January.
