Joe Dodoo of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers is banging them in on loan.
Just a few weeks ago it seemed like Joe Dodoo was completely finished at Rangers.
Well, that still might be the case, but the 23-year-old striker is certainly giving Rangers boss Steven Gerrard something to think about.
Dodoo, who joined Blackpool on a season-long loan in the summer, scored the third goal in a 3-0 win over Burton Albion on Saturday.
In doing so, the Gers-owned striker, signed by Mark Warburton over two years ago, took his tally to four goals in as many games for the English side.
Tangerine boss Terry McPhillips told The Blackpool Gazette: “Joe missed a lot of games because we didn’t feel he was doing well enough but he got his chance again, like they’re all going to get a chance again with being part of a squad, and he’s took it with both hands. Second-half he was phenomenal.”
An overhead kick is included in his purple patch and he now seems a totally different player to the one who couldn’t get a game a few weeks ago.
He was an unused substitute in the league win away to Gillingham as recently as November 6.
Nobody is saying he would get a game at Rangers right now, because he wouldn’t, but if Dodoo – whose contract at Ibrox expires in 2020 – maintains that form for the rest of the season then he certainly should be given a clean slate by Gerrard next term.
