Simon Jordan has stated that Newcastle target, Paul Pogba, has the talent of a ‘Premier League winner’, but the sustainable performances of a ‘League 2 player’, as he told talkSPORT.
It’s perhaps no surprise that Pogba will most likely head for the Manchester United exit door in the summer, with the big pockets of Newcastle showcasing the ambitious signs to bring him to the club.
Many feel with a World Cup winners medal around his neck, the France international should have done more with his talents on the domestic stage.
But six years after his record-breaking return to Old Trafford, Pogba, 29, is probably going to leave on a free in the summer and without anyone in Manchester going to shed a tear.
Former Crystal Palace owner, Jordan, didn’t hold back in criticising the man on Newcastle’s radar and how his talents differ from the performances he puts forward.
“I find it very difficult other than a degree of disdain for Paul Pogba,” said Jordan. “He makes his choices.
“If you are talking about talent. If we can use an analogy about league levels, if you are talking about pure talent, he’s a Premier League winner in talent.
“If you are talking about application, discipline, focus and sustainable performances, then he’s a League Two player.
“In terms of what is required of him to match his ability. His ability is there. We have seen it for France. But his return for Manchester United has been poor.”

With their Saudi-led ownership behind them, the Newcastle fans are going to be dreaming big in the summer.
It will be interesting what road the club take regarding the players they try to lure to St James’ Park because many are thinking they will try to make a statement.
A player like Pogba would be that statement, but it would be a big surprise if he left Man United for a team not in Europe at all – and that Newcastle.
Regardless of how things have panned out for the Frenchman, he still has enough reputation behind him to get that move to another Champions League club in the summer.
