Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo has been given permission to undergo a medical with Liverpool ahead of completing his dream Anfield move.
Liverpool are closing in on signing Wataru Endo with Stuttgart now allowing him to complete a medical with the Reds.
That is according to The Athletic, who report that Liverpool have agreed a deal worth around €19million (£16.2million) for Endo.
It’s stated that Endo has now been given permission to travel over to Merseyside to complete medical tests.
Fabrizio Romano adds that the medical will take place later today (Thursday) and that personal terms are no problem.
Endo asked Stuttgart to let him leave and make an unexpected move to Liverpool.
Losing their captain won’t have been easy but Stuttgart have been understanding of Endo’s dream to play for a big Premier League club.
Endo will seemingly complete the formalities of his transfer in the coming hours with Liverpool finally adding another midfielder.

Jan Aage Fjortoft praises Liverpool-bound Wataru Endo
Liverpool fans have been a little baffled to say the least.
The Reds were focusing on younger talents like Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo before they both chose moves to Chelsea.
Rather than go for another young midfielder to develop over the coming years, Liverpool are signing a 30-year-old in Endo.
A workhorse in the Stuttgart midfield, Endo is tireless and has now racked up nearly 150 appearances for the Bundesliga club.

Whilst Endo is probably one of the more underrated midfielders in Europe, nobody could have seen a move to Liverpool coming.
Pundit and former Premier League ace Jan Aage Fjortoft has praised the move though, offering some insight to the Liverpool fans who have their doubts.
Fjortoft took to Twitter to state that Endo is simply ‘one of the best’ in his position in the Bundesliga.
Fjortoft highlighted Endo’s ‘aggression’ and control of possession whilst praising him as a ‘leader’ in his role as Stuttgart captain.
The Norwegian added that Endo’s attacking numbers are ‘very good’ for a defensive midfielder and is backing this as a ‘smart move’ for Liverpool.
