Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier criticised Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino’s decision not to start Son Heung-min against West Bromwich Albion on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Premier League on Saturday evening (5:06pm, May 5, 2018).

Son, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Former Southampton attacking midfielder Le Tissier was following the match for Sky Sports, and he suggested that manager Pochettino should have started Son in place of 26-year-old Argentina international star Erik Lamela, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.

Le Tissier said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Premier League on Saturday evening (5:06pm, May 5, 2018): “They looked like they missed Son.

“I think having him on the bench was probably not a great thing for them. I think he gives them something a little bit different that Lamela certainly doesn’t give them.”
