Norwich City, Reading and QPR could all get out of the bottom three this weekend. Who is the most likely to secure three vital points?

Norwich City

Norwich have the toughest task because they are away to Chelsea. This is a match where they dug in last season and showed off their grit and determination. The problem is that Chelsea have a one hundred per cent record at home this season with two goals conceded. Norwich’s away form has been poor with two defeats and a draw from three games which suggests they will struggle.

Manager Chris Hughton will need to work his side very hard tactically. It’s important that Norwich don’t drop too deep inside their own half which will be difficult as they are bound to play four across the back and five in the midfield. Norwich will have to try and win this game on the counter attack by exploiting the space left by the Chelsea full backs every time they come forward.

Reading

Reading have a realistic chance of pulling out of the bottom three when they travel away to Swansea City. If Reading play to their full potential then they could easily win because Swansea have been one of the most inconsistent sides in the league. Reading have lost two out of two away from home but Swansea have only won one match at home this season.

Swansea have conceded five goals at home this season which suggests that if Reading can get at the home team then they may have a chance of stealing a win. The Reading defence has also conceded five away from home so this could be a fairly high scoring game which Reading will edge if they show that determination late into the game when fatigue is starting to set in.

Queens Park Rangers

Not many people are going to give QPR a chance away at West Brom because the Midlands side have an even better home record than Chelsea this season. West Brom have played three games, won all three of them and scored six goals without reply in the process. QPR have managed only one point from a possible nine when they have travelled.

The only way that QPR are going to get a result here is if they dig in, defend well and then steal a goal on the counter attack. They should be looking to utilise the pace they have in their side and exploit the disorganisation among the West Brom team whenever the home side is pushing forward. QPR boss Mark Hughes is under immense pressure and would have been constantly at his team all through the week.
