Peter Odemwingie’s latest Twitter antics have effectively ended any chance of a future at West Brom.

Peter Odemwingie has once again taken to Twitter to attack West Brom. He says the club have ruined his career, which means he’s almost certain to be moved on this summer to a new club.

Step One – The Fans

Any playing looking to get away needs to cover himself with the fans because if not, there will be widespread abuse if things go wrong. Odemwingie made it clear that the West Brom fans were the best in England etc, just to slightly mute the amount of verbal abuse he may receive in the future.

Step Two – Transfer Request

The second step to getting away from a club is to hand in a transfer request. This may or may not be accepted by the parent club but it makes clear that the player does not want to be at the club and is looking to get away. It’s the formal and official way of starting proceedings.

Step Three – Create Chaos

Get onto Twitter, get onto the press and try to make the situation us untenable as possible. Criticise the club, talk about the sides interested and generally create a bit of mischief and nuisance. It won’t be too long until the club that owns that particular player gets fed up.

Step Four – DO NOT Take the Initiative

Odemwingie showed with his trip down the motorway to QPR that players should not take the initiative and matters into their own hands. It can back fire in a big way and in this instance, he was forced to go back to West Brom with his tail between his legs where he’s been on the receiving end ever since.

Step Five – Get back on Twitter

Get back on Twitter as an insurance policy to perform the original actions from step three. What that guarantees is that when any side comes in for a player in the next transfer window, the club won’t have any hesitation in accepting bids, regardless of value or amount.
