Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Brom bosses feature.
It’s far too early in the season to start making judgements on managers but there are several top flight bosses already under a little bit of pressure already.
The transfer window has closed, the investments have been made and it’s now down to the gaffers to drill their squads and accumulate the points as the Premier League hurtles through autumn and onto winter.
Here are five bosses under pressure this weekend.
David Moyes
Moyes is one of the most obvious choices because his Manchester United side have taken just one point from their last six available.
They face Crystal Palace at Old Trafford so they will back themselves to produce a solid and entertaining win, which will give them three points and nudge them back up towards the top of the table as they look to defend their title.
Arsene Wenger
There is going to be a lot of attention and focus on Arsenal and Wenger this weekend following the signing of Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal continue to struggle with injuries which makes team selection for the Gunners a problem. Plenty will be looking towards Ozil for some magic in the middle but it will be a collective effort to get past Sunderland.
A bad result here could see the Gunners slip even further in the betting market to make the top four.
Andre Villas-Boas
With Gareth Bale now officially out of the building, Spurs’ match against Norwich is the first chance for an AVB side to perform in the post-Bale era.
Christian Eriksen was added to the squad towards the end of the summer transfer window and AVB is under pressure to get a large group of new players performing quickly.
Paul Lambert
Lambert insisted to Aston Villa fans that this season was going to be different after the team got dragged into a relegation battle last time round.
The side has suffered back-to-back defeats after a superb start to the season winning away at Arsenal.
Villa and Lambert should be confident of a home win against Newcastle, which would take a little bit of weight off the shoulders of the boss.
Steve Clarke
The Baggies are currently bottom of the table after two defeats and a draw in their opening three games.
West Brom really need to dig in as they travel to Fulham on Saturday. Three points should lift the side off the bottom of the table and out of the relegation zone, as West Brom look to rectify a terrible start to the campaign.
