Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Lazio duo Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.
Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has told Ansa that he isn’t paying any attention to rumours that Tottenham Hotspur want both Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.
Lazio are pursuing a Champions League place under Simone Inzaghi, and a host of players have been thriving this season, including Milinkovic-Savic and Immobile.
Midfielder Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio from Genk in 2015, and after 10 goals in his first two seasons, he has blossomed into one of Europe’s top youngsters this term.
The Serbian international – who looks set to feature at the World Cup this summer – has racked up 13 goals and six assists this term, whilst his athleticism has earned him rave reviews, starring as a box-to-box midfielder at 6ft 3in tall.
Meanwhile, striker Immobile – formerly of Torino, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla – has enjoyed a stunning campaign, smashing 41 goals in 46 games for Lazio including eight in nine Europa League games.
The pair are key to Lazio’s success, and The Mirror reported over the weekend that Tottenham Hotspur have been impressed with both players, and want to offer £100million in a double raid.
Before Sunday’s game with Torino, Lazio sporting director Igli Tare told Ansa that he didn’t know anything about such an offer, and isn’t taking the reports seriously right now as he is focused on crucial games before the end of the season.
“€130 million offer for Milinkovic and Immobile? I do not read the newspapers and I do not listen to the radio, because we are concentrated only on the field,” he added.
