A statement on Lazio’s official website has confirmed the arrival of France Under-21 international Gaël Kakuta from Chelsea on loan.
As deadline day draws to a close, Lazio have completed a loan swoop for Chelsea winger Gaël Kakuta.
Reports at the start of the day suggested that the two clubs were close to an agreement and after several hours of talks, a deal was completed.
Kakuta signed for Chelsea in 2007 from French side Lens and joined their youth ranks until 2009 when he became part of the senior side.
Although he has played six games for Chelsea, Kakuta has been sent out on loan to Fulham, Bolton, Dijon and Vitesse.
The 22-year-old’s promise is clear for all to see and he has represented his country at every age group from Under-16 to Under-21.
Chelsea fans will be keeping a close eye on Lazio now to see whether Kakuta shows signs of being a Stamford Bridge star of the future.
