Lautaro Martinez has attracted interest from the Premier League but the Inter Milan forward’s agent has dealt a blow to any interested clubs this summer.

Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez has been one of the more consistent players for the Italian giants in recent seasons as his goalscoring exploits have helped the club win multiple Scudettos.

This has naturally led to the Argentine to be linked with a move to a whole host of clubs interested. HITC reported back in March that Chelsea viewed Martinez as a good alternative to Victor Osimhen.

Sources told HITC that the Napoli forward is of interest to the Blues but they would not pay the release clause in his contract, which is understood to be worth £115 million.

Martinez’s agent on transfer rumours

It’s not just Chelsea who are interested, there has also been rumoured interest in the former Racing Club striker from the Saudi Pro League.

In an interview with Italian outlet FCInter1908, Martinez’s agent, Alejandro Camano, denied talk of a move away from Italy for his client.

“New offers from Saudi Arabia? We have reached an agreement with Inter to renew his contract. Lautaro is the captain of Inter and this is very important for him,” Camano said.

This would seemingly shut down any talk of the Argentine striker leaving the San Siro this summer.

If Martinez were to leave Italy this summer, HITC has been told that a fee in the region of around £80 million would be required for the striker, who has two years left to run on his deal, to leave.

Martinez scored 27 goals last season for Inter Milan, and has already netted twice at the Copa America

Martinez’s new deal means Chelsea will have to look elsewhere

If Martinez’s agent is to be believed, the Argentine striker will soon be off the market as the 26-year-old closes in on a renewal at the San Siro.

For Chelsea, this is bad news as the club are keen on adding a second striker addition, after agreeing a deal with Barcelona for the signing of 18-year-old Marc Guiu.

Chelsea have enquired about the availability of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak but the Blues have been told he is not for sale.

HITC have reported that Newcastle are confident of reaching an agreement with the Swedish striker over a new deal which would make him the club’s highest earner.
