Arsenal want to bring Lautaro Martinez to the Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners’ quest to sign the Inter Milan striker is now under major threat from Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte, who is keen on a reunion with him at Spurs.
Il Bianconero have reported that Tottenham head coach Conte wants to sign Inter striker Martinez and prefers him to Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.
It is the former Chelsea and Inter boss who is keen on the 24-year-old Argentina international striker.
Conte worked with Martinez at Inter, and the duo won the Scudetto together last season.
CBS Sports reported last week that Arsenal are interested in Martinez and have been extensively scouting the 24-year-old striker.

Lautaro Martinez to Tottenham or Arsenal?
In our opinion, if Conte personally wants Martinez, then Arsenal could face a real challenge from Spurs in signing Martinez in the summer transfer window.
The Italian tactician preferring the Argentine striker to Juventus forward Dybala is bad news for Arsenal.
Now, we know that Martinez – described as “one of the most exciting strikers in the world” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the club’s official website in December 2021 – worked with Conte at Inter, and was successful as well.
The striker scored 17 goals and gave six assists in 30 league starts last season, and scored 14 goals and provided three assists in the league in 2019-20.
So, in our view, Martinez could find it very tempting to move to Tottenham and play under Conte again.
