Wolverhampton Wanderers are going strong in the Championship at the moment.
The Wanderers finished as low as 15th in the Championship during the 2016-17 campaign.
The club, though, have started the 2017-18 season strongly, having signed a number of players in the summer transfer window, including Barry Douglas, Ruben Neves, John Ruddy and Roderick Miranda.
Under manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who was appointed in his role at the Molineux Stadium in the summer, Wolves are going from strength to strength.
Wolves managing director Dalrymple has set Nuno a top-six target and told Express & Star: “If you say play-offs people might think we should be shooting to get out of this league, but don’t forget we finished 15th last year.
“So there’s a strong argument that to go from 15th into the play-off mix would be a strong development, year on year.
“Then you look at the quality of the players and the coaching setup, it probably recalibrated – certainly in my mind – that the minimum of top six is where we’re looking.”
Wolves have a very strong squad and some wonderful players, and given the start that they have made, the fans should be optimistic of a top-six finish in the Championship this season.
The Wanderers are second in the Championship table at the moment with 23 points from 11 matches, just a point behind leaders Cardiff City.
Nuno’s side will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Aston Villa at the Molineux Stadium in the Championship.
