Arsenal’s Rob Holding dejected after the match
Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has told the club’s official website that he believes Rob Holding has the quality to play for the club.
The youngster joined the club earlier this summer after impressing with Bolton Wanderers last season.
His signing was very much made with an eye to the future as the Gunners look to develop their own John Stones-type figure.
He would have been expecting to wait for his chance in the first team, but instead has found himself starring in their first two games against Liverpool and Leicester City.

He has largely impressed in those games and Koscielny says he is sure that the young defender has the quality to play for the club.
“I think he has the quality to play for Arsenal,” he told the club’s official website.
“If he signed for us it is because he has all the qualities of a defender to play for Arsenal. Technically he is good with the ball and defensively he is strong.”

Unfortunately for Holding, it appears his time in the first team will be coming to an end given the impending signing of Shkodran Mustafi.
The German defender is being brought in to add some much-needed experience to their defence and is likely to be a starter for Arsene Wenger’s side from day one.
However, given the solid performances Holding has put in, it will not be surprising to see the youngster back in the first team before too long.
