Odsonne Edouard has signed for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on a permanent contract from Paris Saint-Germain.

Celtic have signed Odsonne from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window on a permanent contract.
The 20-year-old, who spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at the Hoops from PSG, cost the Scottish Premiership giants a transfer fee of £9 million, as reported by Sky Sports.
Bonadei worked with Edouard and his Celtic teammate Moussa Dembele at PSG at the Under-17 level, and their former coach has predicted a bright future for the 20-year-old forward.
“I’m very optimistic that he’s going to be a brilliant striker,” Bonadei told The Sunday Post about Edouard. “For Celtic to have spent so much money on him, they clearly see that potential too.
“For me, he is a player who will always score goals. It is only three years ago he was top scorer for France at the Under-17 European Championship.
“That is a high level and I’m very optimistic he’s going to be a brilliant striker. He has lots of qualities, and is getting bigger and stronger every year.
“He is in a very good club, with nice team-mates and a great staff to work with. His future is very bright and the same can be said of Moussa.”

Excitement for Celtic fans
Celtic fans should be excited at the prospect of Odsonne playing for the Glasgow giants in the long run, especially after the comments about Bonadei.
The 20-year-old did well at Celtic last season despite not always playing as starter, and if the youngster is given an extended run in the team and features regularly in the starting lineup, then he could become a superstar at the Glasgow giants.
