Paul Gilmour told Sky Sports News on Monday afternoon that Danny Rose was ‘laughing’ and asking the media outside of Tottenham’s training ground ‘what are all of you lot doing here?’

The Sky journalist shared that Rose ‘hopped out of a van’ and made the joking remark to the media, with the left-back firing obvious shots to the now-sacked Jose Mourinho.

Rose was discarded by Mourinho at Tottenham this season and he wasn’t even handed a squad number.

Nonetheless, with Gilmour reporting on Mourinho’s sacking outside of Tottenham’s training ground, this is what he had to say about Rose.

“In the last few moments, somebody with a sense of humour here, Danny Rose,” said Gilmour.

“He hopped out of a van that was leaving the training ground and asked the waiting media here ‘what are all of you lot doing here’ before laughing and getting back in the van.

“He has a sense of humour and a sense of humour that’s intact.”

It’s no surprise that Rose’s mood has been lifted by Mourinho’s sacking because it’s quite clear they didn’t see eye-to-eye.

That was well-documented in Tottenham’s All or Nothing documentary when the two had a row over the left-back being dropped.

And whilst Rose didn’t pull up any trees at Newcastle, he may just find himself returning to first-team training pretty soon now that Mourinho’s gone.
