Clinton Morrison noticed on BBC Sport how Jurgen Klopp couldn’t help but laugh as Liverpool conceded their sixth goal against Aston Villa today in a remarkable match.
Aston Villa ended up scoring a staggering seven goals against the Premier League champions, with Ollie Watkins netting a hat-trick for the home side.
On a day when Manchester United conceded six at home to Spurs, it was topped off and bettered in the West Midlands by Dean Smith’s Villa.
But given the remarkable nature of circumstances, Morrison shared how ‘all you can do is laugh’ at the scenes everyone was witnessing.
“All you can do is laugh,” Morrison told BBC Sport. “Jurgen Klopp is laughing. Three of the goals have been via deflections and on another day they wouldn’t have gone in.
“But I’ve said it many times, if you don’t shoot you don’t score.”

Whilst Liverpool will look at their defending on the night, Villa were ruthless, aggressive and free-flowing in their attacking playing.
Former Everton man Ross Barkley scored on his debut for Villa, and in truth, he should have scored a hat-trick.
The man who did score three goals – Watkins – also hit the crossbar in the second half, as Liverpool could have easily conceded more during the game.
