The pair had emerged as shock contenders to replace David Moyes at Sunderland.
Former Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs
Ryan Giggs is no longer the favourite to succeed David Moyes at Sunderland, according to Sky Bet‘s latest odds.
The former Manchester United winger unexpectedly shot to the front of the pack on Wednesday, and remained odds-on favourite until Friday.

However, previous front-runner Derek McInnes is now back in front at 2/1, with Giggs’ odds drifting to 7/4 after he insisted he has received no contact from either Sunderland or Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, another surprise candidate, Alan Pardew, has fallen from 6/1 to 20/1 in two days.
Former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew
Unlike Giggs and Pardew, McInnes is currently in work with Scottish league and cup runners-up Aberdeen, and would reportedly cost £1 million in compensation.
The 45-year-old has so far refused to be drawn on speculation linking him with the Stadium of Light post.
However, the expected departure of star man Jonny Hayes to Celtic – in addition to Ryan Jack’s transfer to Rangers earlier this week – could convince McInnes to move should the opportunity present itself.
