Manchester City are said to be willing to pay £50 million for the left-back.
Tottenham’s Danny Rose looks dejected at full time
Reports are currently suggesting that Danny Rose is still of serious interest to Manchester City. Over the weekend The Mirror reported that the England international remains the number one target for City boss Pep Guardiola this summer and that the Citizens are willing to pay £50 million to sign the player.
That seems an astronomical price-tag for the player, but one which will come as music to the ears of Leeds United fans.
Rose, from Doncaster, came through the ranks at Leeds but never made a first-team appearance for the club before heading to Tottenham in 2007.
Fans at the club are obviously not pleased Leeds lost the 26-year-old in the first place but he could still be of a huge benefit to the club. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported in 2015 that Leeds will receive 10 per cent of any profit made on Rose’s transfer fee – so subtracting the £1 million fee they picked up from Spurs the Yorkshire side could cash in a cool £4.9 million off such a deal.
Leeds fans will be hoping Rose continues to impress, and increase his value, as the weeks go by.
