According to The Sun, Burnley manager Sean Dyche has met with Bolton Wanderers defender Harry Brockbank, and that will be a concern for Sunderland.

The British tabloid has reported that Burnley, Brentford, Ipswich Town and Sunderland are all are interested in signing Bolton defender Brockbank in the summer transfer window.

However, it seems that it is the Clarets who have stepped up their chase of the 20-year-old, with the report also claiming that Burnley boss Dyche has met the youngster about joining his team this summer.

Missing out

Sunderland are a massive club, but Jack Ross’s side will play in League One next season, while Burnley are an established side in the Premier League.

At the moment, the Clarets will be more appealing and attractive to Brockbank, and Dyche reportedly meeting him only makes it harder for Sunderland to convince the Englishman to move to the Stadium of Light.

True, Brockbank could get more playing time at Sunderland than he would get at Burnley, but he may not get the chance again to make the jump to a Premier League team.
