Joshua King is reportedly unsure about joining Tottenham.
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be in the market for another striker this summer, but reports suggest that they may be facing a real problem.
Harry Kane continued his remarkable goalscoring feats with a 29-goal season, but Vincent Janssen failed to impress following his move from AZ Alkmaar last summer.
The Dutch international hit just six goals in all competitions, with only two of those coming from open play, meaning that manager Mauricio Pochettino may well be in the market for another attacker this summer.
Bournemouth’s Joshua King celebrates
The Mirror report that Tottenham are keen on Bournemouth forward Joshua King, but he is wary of joining the club as he would primarily serve as cover for Kane at the head of the Spurs attack.
King, 25, smashed 16 goals in an impressive campaign last season, and whilst he would be a fine addition to Pochettino’s options in the final third, he is seemingly reluctant to risk sitting on the bench with Spurs.
That’s a problem Spurs look set to face as they pursue a new striker. Kane, a product of the Tottenham youth academy, is a fan favourite and goalscoring phenomenon, meaning he is arguably one of the most firmly-entrenched players in the Premier League right now.
Whoever Spurs target to boost their attack, the players in question would almost certainly know that they face an uphill struggle to displace Kane, and would either have to settle for a place on the bench, or merely look for playing time if Kane is injured or suspended.

That may have been enough for Janssen to join the club from AZ last summer, but for established Premier League strikers like King, or even Burnley’s Andre Gray, that may put them off joining Spurs.
Pochettino may therefore be left looking to bring in another young attacker from Europe to boost his options, and that would leave Spurs risking another Janssen-like gamble this summer.
