According to Le10 Sport, Paris Saint-Germain are ready to make a move for Everton defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

It has been reported that Everton want between €30 million (£26.69m) and €35m (£31.14m) as transfer fee for the former Aston Villa star.

The report has claimed that French giants PSG wanted to sign the Senegal international in the January transfer window as well.

Big decision for Everton

Gueye is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, and there is no surprise that PSG are reportedly looking at him.

It would be hard for the defensive midfielder to say ‘no’ to PSG, but for Everton, a bid from the Ligue 1 giants will put them in a conundrum.

If the Toffees want to challenge for the top six in the Premier League and want to maintain their lofty ambitions, then they simply cannot sell their best players and have to keep hold of them – they cannot be seen as a ‘selling club’.

Everton’s Director of Football, Marcel Brands, will have a very important decision to make should PSG make an offer for Gueye.
