Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has hinted on social networking site Twitter that he is returning to England from the USA.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has suggested that he is on his way back to England.

Former Chelsea striker Sturridge has been in the USA for some time to recover from thigh and calf problems which have been affecting him since September.

The 25-year-old England international striker’s progress has been going well, and he has now hinted that he is on his way back “home”.

On Thursday morning, Sturridge took to social networking site Twitter to post the following:

Sturridge’s tweet is certainly going to excite the Liverpool fans, who will relish the prospect of watching their first-choice striker back in action.

In the absence of the former Manchester City star, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini have all struggled, with manager Brendan Rodgers playing winger Raheem Sterling as a centre-forward.

Liverpool are currently eighth in the Premier League table with 29 points from 20 matches, seven points behind fourth-placed Southampton.
