The Cherries and the Hornets face off this weekend.

This weekend, Bournemouth and Watford meet for the 109th time. Let’s take a look back at the last five meetings between the two sides.

Bournemouth 1-1 Watford (Championship – 18th January, 2014)

Gabriele Angella had a mixed afternoon at Dean Court as the Italian defender put Watford ahead but later gave away a penalty and saw red. Lewis Grabban converted the spot-kick and Bournemouth went on to put Watford under extensive second-half pressure.

Their probing paid off when Manuel Almunia hauled down Marc Pugh for their second penalty of the game, but this time Grabban’s effort was saved by the Spanish goalkeeper. The result kept both sides on the same amount of points sitting in 16th and 15th place, respectively.

Watford 1-1 Bournemouth (Championship – 20th September, 2014)

Watford were without manager Oscar Garcia as they rescued a late point at home to the Cherries. Ian Harte missed an early spot-kick before Harry Arter put Eddie Howe’s side ahead with a wonderful long-range strike. Craig Cathcart equalised late on to grab a point for the Hornets.

Bournemouth 2-0 Watford (Championship – 30th January, 2015)

Angella was sent off again at Dean Court as Bournemouth cemented their place at the top of the Championship. Watford were up against it from the first minute when Angella’s tackle on Callum Wilson reduced the visitors to 10 men. A Yann Kermorgant penalty put the Cherries ahead and Matt Ritchie’s second half strike sealed a comfortable home win.

Bournemouth 1-1 Watford (Premier League – 3rd October, 2015)

Glenn Murray had a mixed afternoon as these two newly-promoted sides played out a draw at the Vitality Stadium. Murray put the Cherries ahead when he met Ritchie’s fine cross with a header past Heurelho Gomes, but a mistake from Artur Boruc handed Odion Ighalo an equaliser in the 45th minute. Bournemouth had the chance to snatch all three points but an in-form Gomes saved Murray’s penalty.

Watford 0-0 Bournemouth (Premier League – 27th February, 2016)

Max Gradel made his long-awaited return from injury as these two sides played out a goalless draw at Vicarage Road. Bournemouth looked the more likely side to break the deadlock but Gomes kept the Cherries at bay. The result put Watford on 37 points while Bournemouth moved five points clear of the relegation zone on 24 points.
