The Rangers goalkeeper has been in excellent form this season.

Lassana Coulibaly of Rangers is seen during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Rangers and Wigan Athletic at Ibrox Stadium on July 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers star Lassana Coulibaly spoke to reporters after his side’s 0-0 draw with Villarreal in the Europa League last night, and offered high words of praise for his teammate Allan McGregor, labelling him as the best goalkeeper he has ever played with, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.

The experienced stopper played a vital role for the Gers last night, keeping his side in the game on more than one occasion.

Rangers had to play the second-half against the La Liga side with 10 men, and McGregor had to be at his very best to keep the visitors at bay.

The 36-year-old has been superb for Rangers, since moving to Ibrox on a free transfer in the summer, and he will definitely have a crucial role to play for Steven Gerrard’s side, if they are to achieve success this season.

Coulibaly raved about McGregor, when speaking to reporters last night, suggesting that his teammate is the best goalkeeper he has ever played with, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times:

“Of course he has saved the team a lot and he is helping us very well. I hope that he keeps helping the team. Yes, he is the best goalkeeper that I have played with. I have played in Ligue 1 with Bastia and Angers but he is the best keeper. Of course he gives the team confidence and we need to keep that and help him. He can’t do it alone so we are trying to help him and he is helping us too.”

Rangers currently sit in second spot in the Scottish Premiership table, just two points adrift of Celtic, and qualification for the next stage of the Europa League is in their own hands.

And McGregor will have to continue his fine form, if his side are to enjoy a successful December.
