The West Ham United midfielder has been disappointing recently.

Although they were unable to hold on for victory, there were some positives for West Ham United to take from last night’s 1-1 draw away to Tottenham Hotspur, with David Moyes’ side taking a potentially valuable point in their quest to avoid relegation.
Pedro Obiang’s goal was fantastic, while young defender Declan Rice produced an impressive display, but Manuel Lanzini was again disappointing.

When at his best Lanzini is undoubtedly one of the standout players in the West Ham squad, but this season standout performances have been very hard to come by for the Argentine.
Against Tottenham Lanzini was unable to have much of an impact on the game and it is now getting to the point where West Ham need to consider signing another creative player in order to ease some of the pressure on him.

Lanzini has scored just one Premier League goal this season, which came in the defeat at home to Liverpool in November, before Moyes’ arrival at the club.
Moyes has helped to improve the form of several members of West Ham’s squad, but Lanzini doesn’t fall into that category and at present it is questionable whether he even warrants a place in the starting lineup.
