The West Ham United midfielder is set for a month out with a hamstring injury.

West Ham United still have much work to do in order to retain their Premier League status and they have suffered a significant blow with the news that Manuel Lanzini is set to miss a month through injury.
As reported by The Mirror, the hamstring injury that Lanzini suffered in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at the weekend will see him miss several games.

Lanzini is set to be absent for the FA Cup fourth round tie away to Wigan Athletic, in addition to the Premier League encounters against Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and Watford.
Although he started the season slowly, Lanzini has been rather impressive in recent weeks – the midfielder provided an assist against Tottenham Hotspur and hit a brace against Huddersfield Town.

The Argentine’s excellent technique, which enables him to weave his way past opponents with ease, is an extremely useful asset and his absence represents a significant blow for West Ham.
Although David Moyes’ side are currently in 11th place in the Premier League, they are just four points above the relegation zone, and, deprived of Lanzini’s creativity, they could struggle.
West Ham have a host of players out injured at present but Lanzini could well be the individual that they will miss the most.
