Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has raved about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, as quoted in Goal.com.

Lampard has also spoken highly of Son Heung-min and is aware of the threat the two Tottenham players will pose against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London on Sunday evening.

However, the former England international midfielder has pointed out that Chelsea central defender Thiago Silva will be able to cope with the Spurs duo in the Premier League game tonight.

Lampard told Goal.com: “Let’s be fair to Harry Kane, he can probably play against most defenders in world football and give them a problem.

“I don’t want to tempt fate but with Thiago’s qualities, his positioning and his experience, he can deal with these things individually. But as much as that, the influence is what he gives to others around him.

“The major thing when you play against players as clever as Kane and Son is that your concentration levels are absolutely spot on and you have the desire to deal with situations and keep clean sheets.

“Thiago gives off that. His individual talent, yes, but also as a unit, we have to make sure and Thiago is the leader of that unit when you look at the back end of the pitch.”

Lampard told Football.London: “Firstly, the queries of Harry Kane are incredible and no matter who is managing him, the player Harry Kane is one of the best in world football.

“He is someone who can play as an out and out nine or drop off, now he is developing in his own way as he matures as a player. He is a really impressive player, I have got no doubts about that.”

Big game tonight

Kane and Son are in very good form at the moment and have formed a brilliant partnership upfront.

While England international striker Kane has scored seven goals and provided nine assists in the league, South Korea international forward Son has scored nine goals and given two assists in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.

However, Silva has been superb for Chelsea so far this season and has made Lampard’s side defensively better.

The Brazilian is one of the best centre-backs in the world and is hugely experienced, and it will be interesting to see how the battle between him and Kane and Son plays out.
