Tottenham have been in dismal form of late in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have gained just two points from a possible 12 in their last four Premier League outings, losing to Leicester City and Arsenal as well as drawing against West Brom and Watford.
The 25-year-old has failed to score in his last seven league outings for the north Londoners, managing to provide just one assist as Spurs continue to falter in the final third.
Former England international Lampard believes Spurs’ Champions League clash against APOEL Nicosia on Wednesday night has come at the perfect time to help improve the club’s form, but has still criticised attacker Eriksen.
“The team need more from players such as Christian Eriksen, though. I was surprised to see on the weekend that it was his first assist in the Premier League since the first game of the campaign,” Eriksen said.
“Over the past few seasons he has been up there with everybody for creating goals. That’s what he’s known for, plus scoring goals. But to deserve that accolade you have to be consistent because that’s what the best players do.
“Eriksen is not a young player anymore and he has a responsibility now. He scored a great hat-trick against Ireland for Denmark and Pochettino labelled him one of the top 10 players in the world.”

A 75-time Denmark international, Eriksen has scored just four goals all season for Spurs, managing five assists in that time but needs to increase his output if Spurs are to prove successful in the Premier League and Europe.
Spurs are expected to make changes to their side to face the Cypriot champions, as they play against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.
