Lamine Yamal has been spotted shopping in Walmart on the eve of the 2026 World Cup.

Yamal is expected to be one of the brightest stars at the World Cup and will be carrying the weight of a nation on the back of his shoulders at the young age of 18.

Living up to the pressure of a major tournament can be quite stressful so, in order to wind down, the winger has headed to one of the US’s biggest stores to get the essentials.

Who do you think will win the 2026 World Cup, and why?

Footage on social media has emerged of Yamal with two friends leaving the superstore with a trolley full of goodies and he seemed in good spirits on the eve of the World Cup.

Spain are based in Chattanooga, Tennessee; however the Barcelona man was spotted in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

There had been concerns that a hamstring injury may keep the youngster sidelined for the opening stages but Spain’s head coach Luis de la Fuente is optimistic that he will be ready to go and play a huge part.

He still has a few days to wait until the 2010 world champions’ campaign begins, where he is expected to play a crucial part.

Who will Spain be playing in the World Cup?

Going in search of a second World Cup, Spain have emerged as one of the early favourites to go all the way.

They have been placed into group H, where they will go up against Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.

Their first fixture is against Cape Verde at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday 15 June and if Yamal can impress and take his team to glory, his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or will drastically improve.
