Lamine Yamal has already become a phenom for Spain at just 19 years old.

The Barcelona superstar recently celebrated his 19th birthday, and he got the perfect present during Spain vs. France 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinal clash.

The star winger helped his nation reach the finals of the World Cup for just the second time after registering a 2-0 win over Kylian Mbappe’s France.

Lamine Yamal keeps a phenomenal personal record intact

So far, Yamal has been kept rather quiet by opponents at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as he has just one goal and no assists in the tournament.

Despite that, Yamal’s one stat, pointed out by OptaJoe on X, shows how important he is to the current Spanish team.

“Lamine Yamal has started 12 games at the FIFA World Cup and UEFA EUROs combined ending on the winning side in all 12 – the best 100%-win rate of any European player across the two competitions when starting,” OptaJoe revealed.

Considering Yamal is still nowhere near the prime of his career, and still has such an impact on Spain’s winning percentage, shows that he’s a special player.

He has already won the Euros in 2024, but can he lead Spain to lifting the World Cup trophy? Only time will tell.

For now, Spanish fans will hope Yamal can end his goal drought ahead of the most important game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
