Lamine Yamal’s rise to superstardom has been remarkable. And after becoming a World Cup winner just a few days after his 19th birthday, the Spaniard’s bank balance is set to swell.
By his own sky-high standards, Yamal had a relatively quiet tournament, unlike in his victorious campaign with Spain at the European Championships two years earlier.
The Barcelona forward’s 2025-26 season was beset by injuries, so it was perhaps not a major surprise that we didn’t see fireworks at the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Still, the Catalan was one of the posterboys of the tournament. And for Adidas, his sponsor, his narrative arc will deliver huge sales.
At Camp Nou, Yamal reportedly earns €30m (about $35m) annually before taxes, having signed a bumper contract extension last summer committing him to the club until at least 2031.
But that is only one portion of his income. And after achieving World Cup glory, the teenager is about to get considerably richer.

Yamal’s brand is one of the most attractive in football for commercial partners.
As well as his 10-year, $34m deal with Adidas, Yamal has signed with the likes of Coca-Cola, Beats by Dre, Visa and Konami.
According to research from respected industry publication Sportico, Yamal’s endorsements are worth about $10m annually – but he can expect that figure to rise significantly after winning the World Cup with Spain.
While he is still lightyears behind the established brands of Lionel Messi ($70m annual off-pitch earnings), Cristiano Ronaldo ($65m) and Kylian Mbappe ($30m), the fact he has shot to global recognition in the summer of 2026 will start to close that gap.
