Erik Lamela has jokingly told AS that Bryan Gil needs to buy an umbrella during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Lamela left Tottenham for Sevilla in the summer transfer window.
As part of the transfer deal, Spain international winger Gil joined North London club Spurs.
Lamela, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, joined Tottenham from AS Roma back in 2013.
The 29-year-old Argentina international has spoken highly of Gil, and he has also said that the 20-year-old needs to buy an umbrella because it rains a lot in London.

Lamela told AS about Gil: “He has great potential, he is very young.”
When asked about any advice, the Argentine said: “Buy an umbrella (laughs).”
Lamela continued: “Seriously, enjoy yourself, because the Premier League is an incredible league.
“I saw him in a match and he has a bright future ahead of him. Tottenham are a good group, they will welcome him well.”

Succeeding at Tottenham Hotspur
Gil is a very talented and promising player, but the winger is also very young.
The Spaniard is just 20.
Clearly Gil has been signed by Tottenham with an eye on the future, but he could still play a big role in head coach Nuno’s team this season.
The 20-year-old already has good first-team experience with Sevilla, Leganes (loan) and Eibar (loan).
The winger made 26 starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga during his loan spell at Eibar last season.
The 20-year-old scored four goals and gave three assists in those games.
Gil has also played six times for the Spain senior team.
