The Tottenham Hotspur winger will be hoping to make the starting lineup this weekend.

Having had to be incredibly patient during his 13 months on the sidelines with a hip injury, Erik Lamela has subsequently had to wait to re-establish himself as a regular in the starting lineup for Tottenham Hotspur.
With Tottenham able to call upon an array of other creative talents, such as Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min, Lamela has been slowly eased back into action and it is evident that Tottenham don’t want to rush the Argentine as he looks to return to full sharpness.

However, Lamela has produced some encouraging performances since returning and has done enough to suggest that he warrants a starting berth when Tottenham host Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
One possibility for manager Mauricio Pochettino to consider is to move Dele Alli into a slightly deeper midfield position, which would enable Lamela to form part of a creative triumvirate also consisting of Eriksen and Son.

Capable of making a major impact whether deployed as an attacking midfielder or out wide, Lamela is a very useful asset for Tottenham and he is able to unlock defences with precise passes.
Tottenham will be determined to prevail past Everton as they look to boost their chances of securing a top four finish and Lamela could have an important part to play in proceedings.
