Wolverhampton Wanderers are beginning to show signs of their true potential under Paul Lambert.
Wolves boss Paul Lambert spoke to the media in the aftermath of his side’s 0-0 draw at Hillsborough against Sheffield Wednesday yesterday, and raved about his side’s display, suggesting they could have easily won the game 3-0, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Black Country outfit now sit in 16th position in the Championship table, 13 points adrift of the Owls in sixth place, but they will feel aggrieved that the gap between them was not cut to 10.

And Lamabert discussed how pleased he was with his side’s performance, when speaking to the media, suggesting it was the best his side have played since his arrival at the club in November, as quoted by Wolves.co.uk:
“I think we were fantastic today and deserved to win the game. If we had gone away from here with a 3-0 victory I don’t think anyone could have questioned it – everything was there but the win. It was definitely the best performance in my time here and I thought we should have won two or three nil. We never let Sheffield Wednesday play.”

There is still such a long way to go before Wolves can be ruled out of contending for the promotion play-off spots, but they certainly need to embark on a winning run soon, if they are to have any realistic chance of being in the mix for the top six come May.
Next up for Lambert’s men is a trip to Stoke City in the FA Cup, before they take on his former club Aston Villa at the Molineux Stadium, and nothing less than a win will do for Wolves.
