The free agent is exactly the kind of player Glasgow Rangers need and he could make up for lost time at Ibrox.

As reported by the Scotsman, Rangers player Lee Hodson would welcome striker Kyle Lafferty back to Ibrox with open arms following his release from Norwich City, and if the 29-year-old did make a comeback, he could become a goal-scoring great in Scotland.
During his first spell with the Gers, Lafferty found the net just 36 times in 134 matches. However, given his experience and his desire to make up for lost time, Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha could get his hands on an outstanding option for nothing more than a signing-on fee.
Lafferty has never been prolific at club level, with the Northern Ireland international often saving his best performances for his country. But he is now at an age where he will know he needs to be playing week in, week out, enjoying what is left of a career that has faltered in recent times.
Rangers need goal-scorers in order to challenge the dominance of a Celtic side that can call on both Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths, and Lafferty could, with the right support, fill his boots.

It would be a fitting end to a career of a somewhat nomadic player who admitted to the Daily Record back in 2016 that leaving Rangers was the biggest mistake of his career.
He may never get the chance to rectify that, but if he does expect him to do everything in his power to repair a reputation that still has a few chapters remaining.
Rangers need quality additions this summer and while Lafferty has not always looked like one, he could excel under Caixinha and get plenty of goals in the next few years.
