Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Sam Allardyce spoke about them following West Brom’s 3-1 defeat last night.
Speaking after his side lost to West Ham, Allardyce said: “We played long ball against Liverpool because it was the right way to play. They didn’t like it, but it shows everybody if you play a simple game against Liverpool, then you can get at them, behind them and you can get chances.
“They’ve gone and beat Burnley 3-0 tonight, but they were dead lucky to beat us the other night.”
Alisson’s 95th minute winner at the Hawthorns has clearly annoyed the former England manager, as he’s still speaking about the Reds days later.
Ultimately, Jürgen Klopp probably doesn’t care if he got lucky or not when securing a 2-1 win in the Midlands.
Allardyce can say what he likes about how to beat Liverpool, but at the end of the day, those three points were all that mattered.
Now, the Reds are sat inside the top four, and just have to match Leicester’s result this Sunday to be playing Champions League football next term.

In Allardyce’s case, he relegated West Brom, and then left.
After showing that his firefighting powers might be wearing off, it may be the 66-year-old’s last job in the Premier League – in our view.
If that is the case, then Liverpool fans shouldn’t get themselves worked up over his comments.
Klopp will most likely never cross paths with Allardyce again, and the ex-Bolton boss also won’t have to worry about Liverpool.

However, for him to start talking about Liverpool, after a game against West Ham, was quite strange.
Having said that, he’s always been a fairly confrontational manager, so it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise.
Forget about Allardyce – top four is all that matters right now.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Allardyce’s comments…
