Houssem Aouar has long been linked with Arsenal, and Alexandre Lacazette’s response to his post on Twitter has got some fans excited.
Back in September 2020, ESPN reported that Arsenal had made a bid for Aouar, with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claiming on Twitter that the offer was too low.
Speculation linking the Gunners with Aouar is not going away at all. CBSSport has reported that Arsenal are looking at the French midfielder as a potential target in the summer of 2021, as covered by HITC Sport here, while well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano told The Arsenal Lounge in December 2020 that the Gunners will make a move for the youngster in January, as covered by HITC Sport here.
With Lyon challenging for the Ligue 1 title this season, it is very unlikely that the French club will entertain any offers for the 22-year-old now.
Some Arsenal fans on Twitter seem to want the club to sign France international, as shown below.

The Gunners supporters have praised their striker Alexandre Lacazette for being an ‘agent’ after the Frenchman replied to a post from Aouar on Twitter following Lyon’s 5-0 win against Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Lacazette himself joined Arsenal from Lyon in 2017.
