LA Rams head coach Sean McVay was stumped for answers when hearing about Puka Nacua and his recent activity.
The LA Rams lost a heartbreaking Thursday Night Football game to the Seattle Seahawks in controversial fashion.
But a lot of the talk coming into and coming out of the game has been the off-field activity from Rams’ star wide receiver, Puka Nacua.

Sean McVay struggles to find answers to Puka Nacua questions
After the LA Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks, Puka Nacua posted a frustrated message on X aimed at the officials, before quickly deleting it.
It appeared Sean McVay had no idea about this message from Nacua, and carried quite a frustrated tone during the press conference when he learned about the incident.
“What are you talking about? What are you asking me right now? I can’t answer questions about something I am not aware of.
“I need to have more information before I answer those kinds of conversations.
“I apologize. I love this team. When you put it out as much as our group does and you care so much about something, and you come up short, it’s incredibly disappointing.”
Prior to the game, Nacua had suggested that the officials intentionally make controversial calls to get more airtime. And after the game, his post on social media doubled down on that statement.
Puka Nacua has amazing performance, but his off-field controversy overshadows it all
Despite the loss to the Seahawks, Puka Nacua had an incredible performance, with 12 receptions, 225 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
However, his recent controversy off the field has taken all of the focus away from his performance. Nacua has issued apologies for his behavior, but this should be a learning moment for the young star.
Nacua has all the talent in the world, but he can jeopardize it if he doesn’t carry himself the right way when he isn’t on the field.
Hopefully, McVay and the rest of the coaching staff can instill this into Nacua, as it would be a shame to see a player so talented throw it all away.
