Former Celtic winger Mubarak Wakaso has risked upsetting his current club captain by proclaiming Scott Brown to be the best skipper he has played under.
Wakaso played for Celtic in 2014/15 under Ronny Deila.
Even though his spell in Scotland was brief, it clearly left an impression on him.
Wishing Brown a happy birthday, Wakaso hailed the Celtic midfielder’s leadership skills.
Wakaso left to join Las Palmas, and has since had spells with Granada and Panathaniakos.
He is currently with Alaves, who finished 14th in La Liga last season.
His club captain at Alaves is Manu Garcia, 32, who has been with the Spanish side since 2012.
