The LA Galaxy have announced their 27-man squad for the upcoming Leagues Cup, with 18-year-old striker Aaron Bibout being named in the roster.

As per the club’s official website, the Cameroonian wonderkid has been included in Greg Vanney’s team for the competition, with Bibout expected to be handed only his third chance playing for the senior team.

And one player who will be keen to make a big impression is Bibout, who currently leads the scoring charts in MLS Next Pro this year with an impressive 10 goals in 18 appearances.

With five assists as well to his name, the teenage striker has a big future ahead of him. And Bibout could be given a chance to shine by Vanney as the Galaxy’s leading striker in the Leagues Cup.

Indeed, this competition is being billed already by some experts as a chance for MLS teams to blood in some academy talents for the second half of the league season. And the Galaxy would be wise to do such a thing with Bibout.

The Cameroonian teenager has been a force in MLS Next Pro this year. And Bibout is good enough and confident enough to take that next step in his career with minutes in the Leagues Cup.

With fans already onboard the Bibout hype train, the forward now must take it upon himself to put in the work to make himself a household name, a feat that is more than manageable in this competition.
