The LA Galaxy are reportedly interested in Mexico international Jesus Corona, with Sevilla open to selling the 30-year-old winger.
According to Soy Futbol, the MLS giants, alongside California rivals the San Jose Earthquakes, are keeping tabs on Corona’s situation at Sevilla, with the La Liga side expected to undergo a firesale this summer.
Despite winning the UEFA Europa League last season, massive changes are expected in Seville after a league campaign to forget for the Spanish giants. And as a result, Corona could be sold.
The 30-year-old Mexico superstar only joined Sevilla in 2022 after a successful career with FC Porto. However, Corona is yet to catch fire in Spain with the Andalusian side, with the Galaxy now interested in the winger.
Rumors this summer have suggested that Greg Vanney’s side are keen on signing a wide-attacker of Designated Player pedigree, and Corona would fit this bill to a tee if a deal can be arranged with Sevilla.
Indeed, a return to North America could be extremely appealing for Corona this summer, and with Galaxy boasting the likes of Javier Hernandez, Douglas Costa and Riqui Puig, the winger could be a great addition to the roster.
