Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has raved about Celtic attacker Kyogo Furuhashi on Twitter.
Bannan was impressed by the performance of Furuhashi during Celtic’s defeat to AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League qualifier last night.
Ange Postecoglou’s side lost 2-1 to AZ in the second leg of their playoff round away from home, but they have still progressed to the Europa League group stage 3-2 on aggregate.
Furuhashi scored for the Hoops in the match and has a very good game overall, and left an impression on Bannan.
Wednesday midfielder Bannan, who has played 27 times for Scotland, is a Celtic fan, as he told Herald Scotland back in March 2009.

Furuhashi has been superb for Celtic since he moved from Vissel Kobe in the summer transfer window.
The Japan international, who can play as a forward or as a winger, has been banging in the goals for fun and has taken to Scottish football like a duck to water.

The 26-year-old has scored three goals in three Scottish Premiership matches, and has scored thrice in four Europa League qualifying games for Celtic.
Celtic are aiming to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title from Rangers this season.
Furuhashi is already proving to be a massive player in that quest.
