Stephen Craigan has praised Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi on BT Sport 1 (4:44pm, October 19, 2021) for his goal against Ferencvaros.

Furuhashi, who can play as a forward or as a winger, scored for Celtic in their Europa League Group G game against Ferencvaros at Celtic Park this afternoon.

The Japan international found the back of the net in the 57th minute.

You can watch the goal below.

Former Motherwell defender Craigan was on co-commentary duty for the match for BT Sports, and he was impressed.

Craigan said about Furuhashi on BT Sport 1 (4:44pm, October 19, 2021): “It’s the sign of a top-class player who for long spells in the game, he is frustrated, he doesn’t touch the ball, but when the big moment arrives, really soft feet, wonderfully cushioned touch, and then he has the compose to slide it into the bottom corner.”

Furuhashi did not have the best of games and was not always involved.

However, the Japan international was alert for the big moment and scored a wonderful goal.

It is indeed a sign of a quality footballer.

The Japan international was deployed down the middle, and he did look frustrated on occasions.

So, we have to praise Furuhashi for the way he scored and for being so composed with his finish.

The way the attacker controlled the long ball was absolutely stunning.

Celtic have signed a real gem in Furuhashi.
